From my Archaeology of the Self series, this image was arrived at through collage, mining dream imagery and thinking of textures and spaces on the insect-size scale. The images definitely come creeping from the unconscious, as much a mystery to the artist as to anyone. Teeth, thoughts, drapery, space, anatomy. Each feels like a gift and a revellation as it appears and is , honestly, unrepeatable. The mind is a curious space.
